Introduction

Sakura Ferroalloys SDN BHD is a joint venture between mining house, Assmang Limited (South Africa), trading giant, Sumitomo Corporation (Japan) and manufacturer, China Steel Corporation (Taiwan). Set on 100ha of reclaimed palm oil land, Sakura is building 2 modern, energy-efficient “dual product” submerged electrical arc furnaces (SAF) in the Samalaju Industrial Park.

The plant will manufacture high carbon ferro-manganese (HCFeMn) and silicon manganese-(SiMn). One furnace will produce approximately 107,000 tons of HCFeMn per annum while the other will produce approximately 67,000 tons of SiMn per annum. Each furnace is designed to switch to either HCFeMn or SiMn giving the plant flexibility to fully produce HCFeMn or fully SiMn from both furnaces should market conditions dictate a switch in commodity.’

Positions:

1. GENERAL WORKER

To conduct general cleaning works including drains cleaning and grass cutting

2. LOGISTIC MANAGER

Reporting to Services Manager, is to oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials in an organization. The incumbent is to control the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers received products on time and within the agreed shipping date as per the Sales Agreement and also oversee warehouse, inventory control, material handling, customer services, transportation and planning workers. The incumbent ensures warehousing and staffing workers follow safety rules, to negotiate shipping and supplier costs and to improve the efficiency of the company’s supply chain within budget.

3. SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENTAL AND QUALITY OFFICER

The incumbent is responsible to ensure compliance to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Legal Compliances as per Malaysia Acts and Regulations and ISO 45001:2015 Requirements. To help the company in culcating HSE culture among its employees including contractors as to prevent or minimize safety incident in the workplace by implementing incident prevention techniques and HSE programs
