JAWATAN:

Resgistered Nurse
Reporting to     :    Head of Health Centre

Introduction to the Role
To join our specialist nursing team you will already be a qualified nurse with at least two years’ practical experience, in emergency, pediatric, medical and/or surgical division.

Responsibility of the role
Skills for assessing child conditions.
Competent in First Aid delivery
Communicates condition related information to students, parents and teachers requiring empathy and reassurance.
Assesses health needs, develops care programs; gives specialist advice to students, parents and teachers.
Contributes to discussions on service, policy development, provides comments on proposals.
Responsible for equipment used in course of duties/orders medications & medical supplies.
Updates student records
Works within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
Plans and delivers health education programs.
Providing first aid on the sports field and at College events
Administration of prescribed medications, including controlled drugs, and homelies.
Any other medical / nursing-re Weekend and Night cover on a rota basis to ensure wrap-around student care
Other related duties as deemed appropriate by Management
Essential Skills and qualifications
Malaysian State Registered Nurse (SRN), RGN or equivalent in qualifying Country
Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience
Diploma level or above in a Nursing or similar specialist medical field
Fluent in written and spoken oral English; Excellent communication skills
Confident and approachable in dealing with staff, parents, student and other members of the College
Excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently and make decisions
Able to use computer
Understanding/experience of working within an international community
Having some good knowledge of health promotion and insight into the health needs of both teenagers and younger children would be an advantage.
An ability to demonstrate a calm approach under pressure
Closing date for applications: Friday, 6th September 2019. though interviews may take place before this date in Malaysia, at Marlborough College and the candidate is ready for employment by October 2019.
