DRB-HICOM Commercial Vehicles Sdn Bhd (“DHCV”) (formerly known as HICOM Commercial Automotive Sdn Bhd and USF-HICOM (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd) is 100% wholly owned subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading conglomerates with core businesses in the Automotive; Services; and Property, Asset & Construction sectors.. Established in 1979, DHCV was the authorized importer and distributor of various vehicle including the 4x4 vehicles, multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) and commercial vehicles for various brands such as Honda, Mitsubishi, Mahindra as well as an exclusive assembler and distributor of a unique three-wheel CAN-AM SPYDER Roadster.

DRB-HICOM Commercial Vehicles Sdn Bhd (“DHCV”) (formerly known as HICOM Commercial Automotive Sdn Bhd and USF-HICOM (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd) is 100% wholly owned subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading conglomerates with core businesses in the Automotive; Services; and Property, Asset & Construction sectors.. As part of its business expansion plan, on 9 September 2013 DHCV had signed a Distribution Agreement (“DA”), Importation Agreement (“IA”) and Technology License Agreement (“TLA”) with Tata Motors Limited, India (“Tata Motors”) at Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie, Shah Alam. The signing ceremony was witnessed by His Excellency, Mr Vijay Gokhale, High Commissioner of India to Malaysia and YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Khamil Jamil, Group Managing Director of DRB-HICOM Berhad.
The signing of the strategic and dynamic partnership would pave the way for a mutually beneficial collaboration between DHCV and Tata Motors, and will offer various synergies for all parties involved. The agreements will enable DHCV to become the exclusive distributor of Tata Motors commercial vehicles as well as expand its vehicle assembly business and distribution networking Malaysia.
It is a need to keep pace with the market’s demand for new and more technologically-advanced products. Therefore, the collaboration with Tata Motors will enable DHCV to build and deliver vehicles known for its superior quality through its CKD programme.
